Disputing an Incorrect Passing Report
If a trusted contact believes that a passing report is incorrect, they can submit a dispute through their Trusted Contact Dashboard.
The dispute process exists to prevent mistakes and ensure that your legacy is not activated while there is uncertainty about your passing.

What Happens Next?
After the dispute is submitted, Aftir waits for one of the following:

* The dispute period expires without any response.
Until the dispute is resolved, all passing-related releases remain paused.
Why Does Aftir Have a Dispute Process?
While passing reports are expected to be accurate, mistakes can happen.
The dispute process provides an additional layer of protection so that your legacy is only activated after there is reasonable confidence that the passing confirmation is correct.
