Why Aftir Exists
Aftir began with a personal experience that changed how I thought about memory, family history, and the stories we leave behind.
As a cancer survivor, I experienced a health scare that led me to record videos, stories, and messages for my grandchildren in case I was no longer there to share them myself. While creating those recordings, I realized there should be a better way for people to preserve not only memories, but also their stories, wisdom, relationships, and family history.
That idea eventually became Aftir.

Aftir is being built around a simple belief: the people who matter should not disappear into old social feeds, lost phones, scattered photos, or forgotten accounts.
