As a cancer survivor, Aftir founder Tim Carroll experienced a health scare that led him to begin recording videos, stories, advice, and messages for his grandchildren in case he was no longer there to share them himself.
While creating those recordings, he realized there should be a better way for people to preserve not only memories, but also their stories, wisdom, relationships, and family history.
