Why Can't I Delete a Memorial?

Deleting a memorial on Aftir is a two-step process designed to help prevent accidental loss of photos, videos, memories, and other content. Before a memorial can be permanently deleted, it must first be archived. To archive a memorial: • Open the memorial editor. • Go to Page Settings. • Choose the option to archive the memorial. Once archived, the memorial will no longer appear publicly, but it can still be restored if needed. After a memorial has been archived, visit your Archived Memorials section. From there, you can choose to: • Restore the memorial. • Permanently delete the memorial. Permanent deletion cannot be undone. Once deleted, all content associated with that memorial may be removed permanently. If you are unsure whether you may want access to the memorial in the future, consider leaving it archived rather than deleting it.
