Understanding Trusted Contacts

Trusted Contacts are people you choose to help protect and verify your future legacy plans. These individuals will be asked to confirm your passing, before certain future messages, videos, or Time Capsules become eligible for release. The purpose of Trusted Contacts is to provide an additional layer of protection. Rather than relying on a single person or automated process, Aftir uses trusted individuals selected by you to help ensure that future releases occur according to your wishes. You can designate multiple Trusted Contacts and assign them different roles within your legacy plan. Trusted Contacts do not automatically gain access to your private content. Their primary purpose is to help verify information and assist with the release process when required by your settings. Choosing trustworthy individuals is an important part of creating a secure and reliable legacy plan.
