Video Releases and Trusted Contacts

Trusted Contacts help protect Video Releases that are scheduled for delivery after your passing. When an after-passing release option is selected, Aftir requires passing confirmation before the video becomes eligible for release. This safeguard helps prevent accidental or unauthorized access to private videos. Depending on your confirmation settings, one, two, or all verified Trusted Contacts may be required to confirm your passing before a release can proceed. Trusted Contacts cannot view, edit, modify, or delete your videos. Their role is limited to participating in the confirmation process when required. Specific Date Releases Trusted Contacts are not required for videos scheduled on a specific date. These videos will be released automatically on the date and time selected when the release was created. After-Passing Releases Trusted Contacts are required for all release options that depend on passing confirmation. This includes: • After Passing • One-Time After Passing • Annual After Passing Until confirmation requirements have been satisfied, these videos remain private and unavailable to recipients or the public. By combining Trusted Contacts with scheduled release options, Aftir helps ensure that your videos are shared according to your wishes and at the appropriate time.
