Understanding Video Release Schedules
It is important to understand how Video Release schedules work before creating a release.
Different scheduling options determine when your video becomes available and whether passing confirmation is required.
Specific Date Releases
Videos scheduled for a specific date and time will be released on that date regardless of your status.
These releases do not require passing confirmation and do not depend on Trusted Contacts.
For example, if a video is scheduled for January 1, 2035, it will be released on January 1, 2035, even if you are still living.
Specific Date releases should only be used when you want the video released on a particular calendar date.
After Passing Releases
Videos scheduled using an after-passing option require passing confirmation before they can be released.
These videos remain private until all confirmation requirements have been satisfied.
After-passing release options include:
• After Passing
• One-Time After Passing
• Annual After Passing
Annual After Passing
Annual releases are delivered every year on a specific month and day after your passing has been confirmed.
This option is often used for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and recurring family traditions.
Choosing the Right Schedule
Use Specific Date when the release should occur on a specific calendar date regardless of future circumstances.
Use an After-Passing option when the release should only occur after your passing has been confirmed.
Understanding the difference helps prevent videos from being released earlier than intended.
