Understanding Future Message Release Schedules
It is important to understand how Future Message delivery schedules work before creating messages.
Specific Date Messages
Messages scheduled for a specific date and time will be delivered on that date regardless of your status.
These messages do not require passing confirmation and do not depend on Trusted Contacts.
If a message is scheduled for July 1, 2035, it will be delivered on July 1, 2035, whether you are living, deceased, or have never configured Trusted Contacts.
Specific Date messages should only be used when you want delivery tied to a calendar date.
After-Passing Messages
Messages that use an after-passing delivery option work differently.
These messages cannot be delivered until your passing has been confirmed through your Trusted Contact safeguards.
Depending on your settings, one, two, or all verified Trusted Contacts may be required to complete the confirmation process.
Only after confirmation requirements have been satisfied will Aftir begin processing these messages.
After-passing options include:
• After Passing
• One-Time After Passing
• Annual After Passing
Choosing the Right Option
Use Specific Date when delivery should occur on a particular calendar date regardless of future circumstances.
Use an After-Passing option when delivery should only occur after your passing has been confirmed.
Understanding this distinction helps prevent messages from being delivered earlier than intended and ensures your future plans are carried out correctly.
