How My Legacy works

My Legacy is a personal archive that allows you to document your own life while you are living. Unlike a memorial page, which is created to honor someone who has passed away, My Legacy is created by you. It gives you a place to preserve your experiences, relationships, values, memories, photographs, videos, and personal story in your own words, while it is happening. Many people spend decades collecting photos, creating memories, building relationships, and gaining life experiences, yet very little of that information is ever preserved in a meaningful way. My Legacy was created to help solve that problem. Your legacy page can become a living record of your life. Media Library Photos and videos often preserve details that words cannot. My Legacy allows you to organize and preserve media that helps tell your story visually. Trusted Contacts Trusted Contacts are people you choose to help manage certain aspects of your legacy after your passing. Depending on the permissions you assign, Trusted Contacts can verify your passing, approve content releases, and help ensure your wishes are carried out. Future Messages Future Messages allow you to write messages today that can be delivered in the future. These messages can be released after your passing, on specific dates, on birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, or other important occasions. Video Releases Video Releases work similarly to Future Messages but use recorded video instead of written messages. This allows loved ones to see and hear you even after you are gone. Time Capsules Time Capsules allow you to preserve information, stories, documents, photos, videos, and memories that can be released at a future date. Some users create time capsules for children, grandchildren, major life milestones, or future generations of their family. Social Legacy Social Legacy is designed to help preserve your online presence and maintain selected social connections according to your wishes. Legacy Starter and Presence Legacy Starter provides the tools needed to build and preserve your personal legacy page, including your life story, media, and core legacy content. Presence expands My Legacy by adding posthumous communication features such as Future Messages, Video Releases, Time Capsules, and other tools that allow your voice and memories to continue reaching the people you care about.
